Smokin' Aces

There was an interesting article in the Vancouver Sun yesterday about a condo owner suing her downstairs neighbour.  Apparently the neighbour down below smokes a cigarette about 10 times a day on her patio and the smoke is causing  the neighbour above stress, irritability and disruption of sleep.  It will be intreresting to see how this plays out.

BC Home Sales in April

British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) reports that residential sales volume on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in BC rose 17 per cent to $4.2 billion in April, compared to the same month last year. The Canadian Economy

The Canadian dollar was above 90.5 cents yesterday, presumably on news of a stronger-than-expected Canadian economy.  The Canadian economy grew 0.4 percent in February, double what analysts had expected and up from just 0.1 percent in January, Statistics Canada reported. -from CanWest News Service

BC Unemployment Low

The unemployment rate measures the number of people in the labour force not working.   B.C.'s rate is below the national average and was sitting at 4% through February.
